Position Summary

The Network Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation and tracking of network infrastructure projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope and within budget. This role involves coordinating and communicating with internal teams, external vendors and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met. The Network Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring that they align with the organization’s strategic goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute project plans, timelines and budgets for network infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate project risks and issues and communicate project status updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets, expenses and resources effectively.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline project delivery processes and optimize project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure project deliverables meet their needs.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal teams, external vendors and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Document project progress, identify areas for improvement and report on project outcomes.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology or business administration.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on network infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, delivering projects on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Experience with project management tools, such as MS Project, JIRA or Trello.
  • Certification in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2, is preferred.
  • Understanding of fibre and data centre infrastructure is essential.

Coverage Hours

  • Be available between 8:00AM to 7:00PM AEST time, Monday to Friday.
