Position Summary

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be involved in the ongoing support, management and implementation of both internal and customer network infrastructure. You will be involved in exciting projects such as building new enterprise, data centre networks, upgrading core network devices – switches, routers and multi-tenant firewalls. You’ll also be responsible for reviewing, actioning change, problem requests and participating in technical projects to ensure our network functions with the utmost efficiency. You will also be the internal point of escalation for network support engineers.

About You

  • Experience in Telco or Service Provider Environment is a MUST.
  • CCNP / JNCIS certification or equivalent industry knowledge/experience.
  • Experience managing Juniper and Cisco switches, routers, security devices.
  • Experience with Juniper MX and SRX series routers and firewalls.
  • Working knowledge of technologies like MPLS, BGP, SDN, SD-WAN.
  • Methodical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, whilst handling multiple tasks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of OTN and DWDM transmission technologies is a huge plus.
  • Able to transfer knowledge, stay aware of current trends and technical advancements.
  • Proficient in technology solution design and implementation of network projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible approach to deal with the needs of a fast-paced, customer-focused, technology-driven.
  • IT organization.

Skills and Experience

  • Be available between 8:30AM to 5:30PM AEST time, Monday to Friday.
  • Be ready for being on call for after hour escalation and/or in executing after hours changes.
  • After hours being 5:30PM to 8:30PM Monday to Friday and all off Saturday and Sunday.
  • Employee will be compensated/paid loading rates for being on call and for the time spent working after hours.
